Today comes some sketches of progression for Crystal Dreidger’s page of C:Cloth. Northern Ghana is famous for the beauty and color of the patterns in their clothes.
It just so happens that Crystal Dreidger is one of my oldest illustrator friends and I had the privilege of working along side her for a number of years. When Marilyn and I first started discussing this project Crystal immediately came to mind as someone to ask to contribute. Then when Marilyn gave me the list of subjects for each letter, this one literally had Crystal’s name all over it as she has a eye for beauty, fashion and details.
Here is Crystal’s Bio:
Crystal Driedger is a freelance illustrator and artist working from her home-based studio in Edmonton. She endeavors to explore the humor and wonder in life by painting the organic shapes and beautiful situations that make up our lives. In 2009 she gave birth to her son who has become the inspiration for many of her paintings. Crystal’s work focuses on the children’s and stationary market and can be found in Barnes and Noble, Leanin’ Tree, Walmart, Costco, American Greetings, Carlton Cards, on the QVC Home Shopping Network, at the Royal Alberta Museum, in Chickadee magazine and in multiple educational publications.
Marilyn and I are both excited to see this page finished! Stay tuned for more!
